Kara tries to eat cereal!

Check out these clips of Kara’s first attempts at eating “real” food!  (Though I’m not sure soupy rice ‘cereal’ counts as “real food”.)  In any case, it was her first time eating from a spoon!

Kara’s first bath!

Here is a video of Kara taking her first bath in the baby tub. It was a little nerve-racking for mom & dad, but we all survived! We set up the tub in the kitchen on a table near the sink so we could both get to her easier (and, yes, we closed the curtains so no one could see our naked baby!!).

(And, YES, I know I sound like a goof-ball! I swear it doesn’t sound like that in my head…)

We’ve been posting pictures all over the internet and using a variety of sites.  We’re working to get them all in the Facebook photo gallery here: More Kara photos.

Jen at 7.5 months!

Below are some pictures we took just a few days ago.  Jen is getting so big, it is hard for us to beleive there is still more than a month to go!  Even some of the mid-pregnancy clothes don’t fit any more (or is that a good excuse for some shopping?!).

Jen continues to look amazing (as always!) and I can feel the baby moving much more obviously now.  I can sense where she is in the womb and Jen doesn’t have to move my hands into position to feel a “bump”.  That little girl does some big kicks!

Jen at 4 months

Below are a few shots of Jen taken on April 5.  She is now approaching 5 months pregnant and really looks like she’s having a baby!  Just wait until you see the next set of pics in a few weeks… she’s gaining momentum :-)

All of Jen’s clothes are now maternity clothes.  She is gaining weight slowly, per the doctor’s recommendations.  She looks great and is still going to the gym and doing yoga!  They say it is good for her and makes for a healthier baby (and mom!).

You can see all of the month-by-month pictures here.

Tim gets interviewed on SpaceVidcast

I was interviewed on the live space talk show SpaceVidcast on Thurday night, April 16, 2009.  The main topic was our upcoming conference, ISDC 2009, though we covered a LOT of areas.  The show was a lot of fun to do–especially the parts that aren’t in the recording!   We actually talked for about 2 solid hours that night.

The show is streamed live and uncut on the internet during the recording session.  There is a chat session where viewers can chime in with questions, answers, or oppinions during the show.  Some of this is captured and put up with the video as a scrolling dialogue.  If you want to see the future of interactive media, check out SpaceVidcast.com
